What are the materials and finishes used to make this shelf?
Every shelf is made from high-quality, FSC-certified Birch solid wood boards. It has no added formaldehyde, and it is very environmentally friendly compared to composite boards like plywood or MDF. There is very little glue in those, and the glue itself is water-based and contains no formaldehyde or other toxic materials. Those boards are made in the EU from local wood.
What is FSC-certified wood?
FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council. It means the wood comes from responsibly managed forests, harvested in a way that protects nature and local communities.
Are the shelves safe for toddlers and young children?
Yes! Each shelf has smooth, rounded edges and a tip-resistant design, so little ones can use them independently. All finishes are natural and non-toxic, making them safe for everyday play.
